The MX424/S pairs a 24-inch gooseneck with a supercardioid Microflex cartridge, as shown in the product image, combining maximum reach with a narrow acceptance angle for higher gain-before-feedback in live speech reinforcement. Its balanced, transformerless preamp output maintains a clean signal across the long cable runs common in distributed commercial AV systems, and Shure CommShield technology rejects RF interference from nearby mobile devices. The microphone ships with a complete installation kit including a shock-mount and flange-mount adapter and a snap-fit foam windscreen for fast table and lectern installation. Because the cartridge is interchangeable, integrators can refit a cardioid or omnidirectional capsule as room acoustics change.
