The Shure MX405RLP/C cardioid gooseneck microphone is a 5-inch low-profile condenser with a top red LED ring, built for clear speech capture in conference rooms, boardrooms, and lecterns. The cardioid pattern covers one or two seated talkers while rejecting off-axis noise, a practical choice for commercial AV installations. The "LP" version ships without a preamp for direct integration with Microflex and ULX-D systems.
Product Description
The MX405RLP/C pairs an interchangeable cardioid cartridge with a 12.7 cm (5 in) gooseneck and a top red light ring that signals talk and mute status. Designed for permanent installation, this conference room microphone mounts through a table or lectern using the Shure MX400SMP surface-mount preamp (sold separately) and integrates with automatic mixers for gated, logic-controlled operation. CommShield RF filtering protects against mobile and wireless interference, while a switchable 150 Hz low-cut filter reduces HVAC rumble. A snap-fit windscreen adds 30 dB of pop protection.
