The MX405LP/C pairs an interchangeable cardioid cartridge with a 12.7 cm (5 in) gooseneck and a bottom bi-color LED status indicator that shows talk and mute states at a glance. Designed for permanent installation, this conference room microphone mounts through a table or lectern using the Shure MX400SMP surface-mount preamp (sold separately) and connects to automatic mixers for gated, logic-controlled operation. CommShield RF filtering protects audio from cellphone and wireless interference, making it dependable for boardroom and commercial meeting space deployments. A switchable low-cut filter attenuates HVAC rumble and handling noise below 150 Hz, while the snap-fit windscreen adds 30 dB of pop protection. The cartridge is fully interchangeable, so integrators can change polar patterns without replacing the gooseneck.
