The inline preamp configuration offers deployment flexibility across ceiling grid, suspension, and surface mounting scenarios without requiring a dedicated plate mounting bracket. Available with cardioid (MX202B/C), supercardioid (MX202B/S), lobar mini-shotgun (MX202B/MS), or no cartridge (MX202B/N) variants for integrator-specified coverage. Product Description

Built on Shure's Microflex electret condenser platform, the MX202B delivers a frequency response of 50 Hz to 17,000 Hz for clear speech intelligibility and full-range vocal capture in installed sound applications. The inline preamplifier design and flexible gooseneck allow the microphone to be suspended, ceiling-mounted, or bracket-mounted in configurations where a plate-mount footprint is not required. The interchangeable cartridge system gives the integrator the ability to specify the polar pattern best suited to the room — cardioid for focused overhead capture, supercardioid for venues with high reverberance, and the lobar mini-shotgun (MS) for longer-throw pickup from elevated mounting heights. The No Cartridge (/N) variant enables housing installation prior to cartridge specification or supports facilities with existing MX200-series cartridge inventory.
