Product Description

The MX202BP uses an electret condenser transducer with a frequency response of 50 Hz to 17,000 Hz, delivering clear speech and vocal intelligibility appropriate for conferencing, sound reinforcement, and recording in installed audio environments. The plate-mount preamp design routes the cable through the ceiling mounting surface for a finished installation appearance, eliminating surface-run cables common with inline-preamp overhead microphones. The interchangeable cartridge system allows the AV integrator to specify the polar pattern most appropriate for the room geometry and coverage requirements — cardioid for more focused directional pickup, supercardioid for rejection of reverberant energy in rooms with high ceilings. The No Cartridge (/N) variant is intended for facilities that stock multiple cartridge types or are upgrading existing MX202 housing installations.
