Product Description
The BETA 98H/C is a premium cardioid condenser instrument microphone that clamps onto the bell of wind instruments or the rim of percussion instruments for consistent capture without a separate stand. Its cardioid polar pattern provides high gain-before-feedback and strong rejection of off-axis noise, which helps AV integrators control bleed in multi-microphone stage and broadcast setups. Transformerless preamplifier circuitry improves linearity across the full frequency range, while an integrated gooseneck with a ratcheting swivel joint and an isolation shock mount reduce transmission of key noise and mechanical vibration. The attached 3 m (10 ft) high-flex cable terminates in an XLR preamplifier that connects directly to a mixer or DSP.
