Product Description
When a shotgun microphone is used outdoors, a foam windscreen alone cannot control wind noise. The A89SW-JMR windjammer adds a synthetic-fur outer layer that breaks up airflow across the windshield, offering an additional 10 dB of wind noise attenuation while preserving high-frequency detail. Developed by Shure with Rycote, it is sized for the VP89S and VP82 windshield system so it fits securely in the field. This is a replacement part for crews that already run the windshield kit and need to restore a worn or lost windjammer. Pair it with the foam A89SW windscreen or move to the complete A89SW-KIT windshield kit for full outdoor protection.
