Product Overview
The Shure A400SM is a recessed shock mount for all Microflex and Easyflex gooseneck microphones. It uses Shure's Shock-Stopper construction to decouple the microphone from the mounting surface, reducing the transmission of surface-borne vibration and handling noise into the gooseneck microphone. For conference room and lectern installations using Microflex gooseneck mics, the A400SM is the manufacturer's surface-noise isolation solution.
Product Description
The A400SM mounts into the table or lectern surface and suspends the gooseneck microphone with Shock-Stopper isolation, breaking the mechanical path that would otherwise carry keyboard taps, table knocks, and structural vibration into the capsule. Because it is recessed, it preserves a clean conference table appearance while protecting speech intelligibility in meetings. It is compatible with the full range of Microflex and Easyflex gooseneck microphones, which makes it a standard isolation component across a facility's gooseneck inventory. The mount is well suited to boardrooms, conference rooms, lecterns, and government meeting spaces where surface noise is a common problem. As a model-line accessory it provides repeatable isolation across multiple identical positions. The A400SM pairs with the A400XLR quick-release insert for a complete recessed mounting solution.
