Product Overview
The Shure A12 is a matte silver microphone mounting flange designed for flush-mounting microphones into desktops, podiums, lecterns, and conference tables. It accepts standard 5/8"-27 threaded microphones and gooseneck bases, making it a clean, permanent mounting solution for boardrooms, government chambers, and house-of-worship installations. Integrators use the A12 where a recessed, low-profile microphone mount is required for a finished commercial AV install.
Product Description
The A12 mounting flange installs into a drilled hole in a desk or podium surface and presents a 5/8"-27 female thread at the surface, allowing a threaded microphone or gooseneck microphone to be screwed directly into the furniture. This flush-mount approach removes the need for a separate desk stand, keeps cable runs hidden below the surface, and produces the clean sightlines that AV system designers want in permanent conference room and lectern installations. The matte silver finish suits lighter furniture and hardware schemes; a black version (A12B) is available where a darker finish is specified. Because it is a fixed mechanical mount with no electronics, the A12 integrates with any standard threaded microphone in the system and requires no power or configuration.
