Concealment is the SK 6212's reason for existing. At 0.24 lb and roughly 63 × 47 × 20 mm it hides where a full-size bodypack cannot — in a wig, a waistband, or the small of a dancer's back — which is why it is a fixture in musical theatre, opera and film. What separates it from other miniature transmitters is that it gives up nothing on the RF side: the same Long Range mode and SeDAC codec as the SK 6000, the same Link Density mode with SePAC for up to five channels per MHz, and the same AES 256 encryption.

The lockable 3-pin SE input accepts the Sennheiser lavalier and headworn range — MKE 1, MKE 2, MKE 40, HSP 2, HSP 4 and SL Headmic. Vertical and horizontal clips are supplied so the pack can be oriented to whatever the costume allows, along with a band-matched antenna.
