Product Overview
The Sennheiser GZL range is 50 ohm BNC coaxial antenna cable for wireless microphone antenna distribution, stocked here in RG 58 lengths from 0.25 m to 10 m and low-damping RG 8x lengths from 5 m to 20 m. Select the construction and length for the run: RG 58 for jumpers and short hops inside a rack, RG 8x where a longer cable has to reach a remote paddle antenna without giving away RF signal to cable loss.
Product Description
Fitting a correctly sized cable rather than coiling a long one keeps insertion loss down, keeps rack airflow clear, and makes a multi-channel rack far easier to troubleshoot when a channel goes quiet. The 0.25 m and 0.5 m jumpers are sized for the hops that happen entirely inside a rack — receiver to antenna splitter, splitter to splitter, or a front-mount antenna kit back to a rear-panel BNC — while the 1 m and 5 m RG 58 lengths cover cable management between rack shelves.
RG 58 carries slightly more loss per metre than low-damping RG 8x, which is immaterial over short jumpers and is exactly why RG 58 is the sensible construction at those lengths. Reserve the RG 8x lengths for long runs between the rack and remote antennas, where the lower damping preserves usable range. On the distribution side, these cables are the standard antenna splitter interconnects for the ASP 212 dual two-way splitter and ASP 114 four-way splitter, and they terminate the feed from an A 5000-CP passive directional antenna or A 3700 omnidirectional antenna with booster.
