Product Overview

The Renkus-Heinz CA121M-A is a self-powered 12-inch coaxial loudspeaker for installations that want integrated amplification without network infrastructure. It pairs a coaxial point-source transducer with the onboard SA625-A amplifier module, accepting balanced analog input on looping XLR-3 connectors. As a powered coaxial stage monitor and point-source loudspeaker, it suits auditoriums, houses of worship, and commercial meeting spaces where an analog self-powered coaxial loudspeaker simplifies the signal chain.

Product Description

Renkus-Heinz CA121M-A self-powered coaxial loudspeaker with SA625-A amplifier module

The CA121M-A belongs to the Renkus-Heinz C Series, a range of premium installation loudspeakers built around Complex Conic waveguide technology for coherent point-source performance. The coaxial driver mounts a 12-inch woofer and a 1.75-inch voice-coil compression driver (SSC12-1) on a common axis, producing 80 degrees by 80 degrees constant-directivity coverage with a 33-degree monitor angle for floor-wedge or fixed-install use. The integrated SA625-A amplifier module supplies 500 watts to the low-frequency section and 125 watts to the high-frequency section at 8 ohms, with multi-band peak and thermal limiting protecting the drivers. The analog model accepts balanced analog on looping XLR-3 connectors and accepts up to +22 dBu, keeping the design straightforward where networked control is not required. The amplifier is built in the USA and runs on 100-240 V auto-switching mains through a Neutrik powerCON TRUE-1 connector. Installations that later need AES/EBU, RHAON II control, or Dante can move to the CA121M-RN or CA121M-RD, which share the same coaxial loudspeaker platform.

Key Features

  • Coaxial Point-Source Transducer — A 12-inch woofer and 1.75-inch compression driver share a single axis for coherent, time-aligned coverage from one compact enclosure.
  • SA625-A Amplifier Module — The onboard Class-D amplifier provides 500 watts LF and 125 watts HF at 8 ohms with multi-band driver protection.
  • Balanced Analog Input — Looping XLR-3 connectors accept balanced analog sources up to +22 dBu for a simple, reliable signal path.
  • Constant-Directivity Coverage — An 80 by 80 degree pattern with a 33-degree monitor angle holds consistent tonal balance across the audience.
  • Self-Powered Convenience — Integrated amplification removes the need for external amplifier racks and reduces system wiring.
  • Selectable Mounting — Two M10 attachment points accept the optional UBRKT/CT121M yoke for wall or structural mounting.
  • US-Built Reliability — The SA Series amplifier is designed and manufactured in the USA and runs on 100-240 V auto-switching mains.
  • Platform Upgrade Path — Shares the coaxial loudspeaker platform with the networked CA121M-RN and CA121M-RD models.

Typical Applications

  • Auditorium — Provides controlled, intelligible coverage for spoken word and music in fixed performance spaces.
  • House of Worship — Delivers natural music and clear speech from a self-powered cabinet with a simple analog feed.
  • Conference Room — Supports clean reinforcement where an analog signal chain is preferred.
  • Commercial Meeting Space — Reduces rack hardware with integrated amplification.
  • Multi-Purpose Room — Combines floor-monitor geometry and install mounting for flexible room configurations.
