What is the RDL TP-HA1A?
The RDL TP-HA1A is a Format-A twisted pair receiver and stereo headphone amplifier with a user volume control. It is ideally suited to hotel guest rooms, bedside and restroom listening stations, and other remote listening points.
How does it work?
The module receives stereo audio and 24 Vdc power through an RJ45 jack fed from any RDL Format-A sender, amplifying the signals on pairs B and C to a 3.5 mm mini-jack. Two RJ45 jacks let either serve as the input, with the other looping through to another receiver. There are no illuminated indicators that could distract users in dark rooms. The base plate has cutouts for pre-terminated cable, mounts with two screws, and the cover attaches with one screw; RDL Format-A receivers such as the TX-TPR1A can share the same cable run.

- Headphone output with volume control — A front-panel mini-jack and single-turn control give listeners 25 mW per channel.
- Powered over twisted pair — Audio and 24 Vdc power arrive from the Format-A sender on one RJ45 cable.
- RJ45 loop-through — A second RJ45 jack connects an additional TP-HA1A or other Format-A receiver.
- No distracting indicators — The module has no illuminated indicators, which suits dark guest rooms.
- Self-resetting protection — An automatically resetting fuse protects the module.
