RDL ST-PA2 – 2 W Mono Utility Audio Amplifier, 8 Ohm

What is the RDL ST-PA2?

The RDL ST-PA2 is a compact STICK-ON utility amplifier that delivers 2 W RMS into an 8 Ω speaker and +12 dBu into 600 Ω. It is suited to music-on-hold feeds, intercom drivers and small monitor speakers in commercial facilities.

How does it work?

The module has a single unbalanced audio input, a gain control and two outputs. The first output drives an 8 Ω speaker at up to 2 W RMS, while the second drives 600 Ω transformer inputs, typically on telephone or other equipment inputs, and both outputs can be used at the same time. RDL recommends the RDL PS-24AX power supply (sold separately; PS-24AS in the USA). Mount it with the RDL MB-1 or RDL SMK-12, and step up to the RDL ST-PA18 when more power is needed.

What are the key features?

• 2 W into 8 Ω — The speaker output delivers a clean 2 W RMS into an 8 Ω load.
• 600 Ω line output — A second output provides +12 dBu into 600 Ω to drive transformer-coupled equipment inputs.
• Simultaneous outputs — Both outputs can be used at the same time for a speaker and an equipment feed.
• Music-on-hold ready — The dual outputs suit telephone systems with either 8 Ω or 600 Ω music-on-hold inputs.
• Gain control — A gain control sets the output level for the connected source.
