What is the RDL ST-PA18?
The RDL ST-PA18 is an 18 W RMS mono audio power amplifier for an 8 Ω speaker load. Its integral compressor and loop output make it a practical building block for distributed audio systems.
How does it work?
The balanced line-level input bridges the source and may be wired unbalanced, with a gain range that accepts consumer and professional levels. LOOP OUT terminals feed the input signal to additional amplifiers, or to a subwoofer amplifier through the RDL ST-CX2S. The Class D output delivers 18 W RMS into 8 Ω and can drive 4 Ω loads. An integral compressor prevents clipping, a red COMP LED shows its threshold, and normal levels pass unaffected to preserve dynamics and limit feedback when paging. RDL recommends a 24 Vdc supply in the PS-24K family, such as the RDL PS-24KX.
