What is the RDL SF-TPR24A?
The RDL SF-TPR24A is a SYSFLEX eight-section receiving chassis for RDL Format-A twisted-pair audio, providing up to 24 balanced line-level outputs. Each section receives three audio pairs and delivers them as +4 dBu balanced outputs on detachable terminal blocks. It centralizes Format-A wall plate and sender inputs at the rack for mixers, DSPs and recorders.
How does it work?
Each of the eight sections receives up to three audio sources and outputs signal pairs A, B and C. Studio-quality buffer amplifiers drive +4 dBu balanced outputs on detachable terminal blocks. Bridging inputs let the SF-TPR24A connect to the LOOP OUT jack of other receivers, and RDL notes that up to 10 receiver outputs can share each cable pair. The chassis runs from a 24 Vdc supply through a power jack or terminal block, and that local power also feeds all modules connected to its eight INPUT RJ45 jacks. Each RJ45 is protected against wiring faults by an automatically resetting fuse, and a green LED per section confirms valid remote module power. RDL lists the PS-24V3A and PS-24KS as recommended USA power supplies. Format-A sources include wall-plate senders such as the RDL DS-TPS2A and Dante interfaces such as the RDL RU-NFD.
