What is the RDL DS-TPS1A?
The RDL DS-TPS1A is a Format-A single-pair sender with a balanced XLR microphone input and phantom power on a Decora-style panel. It sends a wall-plate microphone over twisted-pair cable to a remote Format-A receiver or system.
How does it work?
The XLR input provides IEC 24 V phantom and accepts both dynamic and condenser microphones, amplified by a studio-quality preamplifier with switch-selectable gain on the rear panel. A rear switch selects whether the signal feeds pair A, B or C, so it can share a cable with other single-pair or two-pair senders. Signal and power pass through on RJ45 jacks, and power arrives remotely or from a fused local terminal block input. The DS-TPS1A uses a stainless steel faceplate to coordinate with RDL stainless Decora-style controls in commercial and industrial spaces. Use it with receivers such as the RDL D-TPR1A or RDL TX-TPR1A, mounted in an RDL WB-1U wall box.
