RDL DS-RC3M – 3-Channel Remote Mixing Control with Mute, Stainless
What is the RDL DS-RC3M?
The RDL DS-RC3M is a three-channel remote audio mixing control with a mute button for each channel on a Decora-style panel. It gives users volume and mute control of an RDL remote-controlled mixer from the wall, without running audio to the control location.
How does it work?
A rear RJ45 jack connects standard twisted-pair wiring to an RDL remote-controlled mixer such as the RDL FP-MX3R, sending knob positions and mute status to the mixer. All audio stays local to the mixer, which uses VCA technology to set levels from the control's long-life 10 kΩ potentiometers. Each MUTE button toggles its channel, and an indicator glows red when muted and green when audio is on. The DS-RC3M uses a stainless steel faceplate to coordinate with RDL stainless Decora-style controls in commercial and industrial spaces. It mounts in an RDL WB-1U wall box or standard electrical box.
What are the key features?
- Three level controls — Single-turn rotary knobs adjust three mixer channels from one location.
- Per-channel mute — A MUTE button toggles each channel on and off.
- Red/green status — Indicators glow red when muted and green when audio is active.
- Twisted-pair connection — A rear RJ45 connects to the mixer over standard twisted-pair cable.
- Audio stays at the mixer — Only control data travels to the wall, while VCAs at the mixer set levels.
