What is the RDL DB-SP1A?

The RDL DB-SP1A is a compact 2 W, 8 ohm loudspeaker built into a Decora-compatible plate with a black grill. It brings clear speech and background music to small offices, reception desks, huddle rooms and paging points where a full ceiling speaker is not practical.

How does it work?

A steel enclosure fully baffles the driver in a sealed, rigid structure, and internal filtering rolls off out-of-band frequencies to reduce distortion and raise peak power capability. Mounted in a wall, the speaker disperses sound across a nearly 180-degree area, with a rated range of 150 Hz to 20 kHz and 78 dB sensitivity (1 W, 1 m). Audio connects through a 2-position detachable terminal block, and the speaker handles 2 W RMS continuous from amplifiers rated up to 10 W, such as the RDL D-PA3 or RDL RU-PA518. Install it in a US electrical box at least 2 in deep, an RDL SMB-1W surface box or a DC-1W desktop chassis.
