The QSC DCIO-H is the HDMI-equipped version of QSC's cinema-specific Q-SYS audio interface, serving as the input/output hub for each screen in a Q-SYS-enabled cinema complex. In addition to the full digital cinema audio I/O of the standard DCIO, the DCIO-H adds HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2 input and output for non-sync sources and onboard Dolby and DTS-HD decoding — making it the right choice for auditoriums that present alternate content alongside theatrical features. It routes audio from the projector IMB and other sources to a Q-SYS Core over Q-LAN for full-system cinema audio design.
Product Description
Alongside the DCIO's 16-channel AES/EBU input from the IMB, mic/line input, line-level and powered monitor outputs, four relay control outputs, HI/VI outputs, and RS-232/GPI automation, the DCIO-H adds HDMI 2.0 / HDCP 2.2 input/output for non-sync content and decoding of Dolby Audio (including Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Surround 7.1) and DTS-HD. This lets a Q-SYS auditorium handle live events, presentations, and streamed or disc-based content with full surround decoding, all managed within Q-SYS Designer alongside Q-SYS Cores, DPA-Q amplifiers, and DCS loudspeakers. For installations that do not require HDMI or onboard decoding, the standard QSC DCIO provides the same core audio I/O.
