Product Description

The SR-1290 features a 12-inch (305 mm) woofer with a 2.5-inch (63 mm) voice coil and a coaxially mounted high-frequency driver with a 1.75-inch (44 mm) voice coil. Coaxial alignment produces a point-source characteristic that keeps frequencies aligned through the crossover region for accurate reproduction.

A low 4-ohm impedance lets the loudspeaker draw more power from the amplifier than an 8-ohm design, so object-based immersive formats that require a dedicated channel per surround can deliver maximum output from lower-powered, lower-cost multi-channel amplifiers. Very high power handling meets the demands of immersive audio.
