Product Overview

The QSC SC-413C is a three-way, selectable bi- or tri-amplified screen channel loudspeaker from the DCS Digital Cinema Series, developed for professional motion-picture playback. It comprises the MH-1063 mid-high frequency system and the LF-4115 single-15-inch low-frequency system.

THX-approved and engineered for articulate dialogue, the SC-413C suits mid-size cinema auditoriums and premium screening rooms.

Product Description

QSC SC-413C – Bi/Tri-Amp 3-Way 1x15-Inch Cinema Screen Channel Loudspeaker

The MH-1063 mid-high system features a high-output, horn-loaded 10-inch midrange cone driver and a 2.5-inch (63 mm) titanium-diaphragm compression driver on an adjustable pan-and-tilt bracket. It includes a driver-protection network and a passive crossover for bi-amp operation, with power-limiter circuitry protecting the high-frequency driver.

The high-power 10-inch cone driver operates as low as 250 Hz, and advanced phase-plug coupling permits a crossover point up to 1800 Hz to the high-frequency horn, so most of the dialogue range is reproduced by a single element for unmatched intelligibility. The LF-4115 single-15-inch enclosure is heavily braced MDF.

Low-distortion waveguides deliver articulate dialogue, and a shallow 20-inch depth facilitates installation. THX-approved for professional cinema, the SC-413C integrates with QSC cinema subwoofers, surrounds, amplifiers, and processors.

Key Features

  • Three-way selectable bi- or tri-amp — Operates in selectable bi-amplified or tri-amplified configurations for precise system control.
  • MH-1063 mid-high system and LF-4115 low-frequency system components — Built from the MH-1063 mid-high system and LF-4115 low-frequency system for proven cinema performance.
  • Extended-coverage mid-high — The mid-high system provides 90° horizontal by +20° to -30° vertical coverage, with a 2.5 in (63 mm) titanium-diaphragm compression driver and 10-inch midrange for articulate dialogue.
  • Single-element dialogue range — A high-power 10-inch cone driver operates as low as 250 Hz with a crossover up to 1800 Hz, so most of the dialogue range is reproduced by a single element for unmatched intelligibility.
  • Heavily braced LF enclosure — The 1x15 in low-frequency enclosure is constructed of MDF and heavily braced for solid bass.
  • Low-distortion waveguides — Waveguides provide highly articulate dialogue for intelligible cinema playback.
  • Shallow 20-inch depth — Reduces required behind-screen clearance to facilitate installation.
  • THX approved — THX-approved for professional cinema applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between bi-amp and tri-amp operation?
In bi-amp mode the MH-1063 uses its internal passive crossover between midrange and HF, while tri-amp mode drives the LF, MF, and HF sections from separate amplifier channels via an external cinema processor for maximum control.

Is the SC-413C THX approved?
Yes. The SC-413C is THX-approved for professional cinema applications.

Why does dialogue sound so clear on this system?
The 10-inch midrange operates from about 250 Hz up to a 1800 Hz crossover, reproducing most of the dialogue range from a single element for unmatched intelligibility.
