The QSC CIAES16 is a Q-SYS Type-II I/O card providing 16 channels of AES/EBU (AES-3) digital audio input for the Core 510i processor. It is used when a Core 510i needs high-density digital audio input from AES-3-compatible sources — digital mixing consoles, broadcast equipment, digital recorders, and other professional digital infrastructure. Each channel delivers full-resolution 24-bit digital audio directly into Q-SYS signal routing.
Product Description
The CIAES16 concentrates a large amount of digital input into a single Type-II card, making it efficient for facilities that bring many AES-3 channels into a Core 510i from consoles and broadcast gear. It installs in any Type-II slot and combines with analog and network cards in the same chassis. For bidirectional AES-3 at lower channel counts, consider the CAES4 4-in/4-out card.
