Product Overview
The QSC CAES4 is a Q-SYS Type-II I/O card providing four channels of AES-3 digital audio input and four channels of AES-3 digital audio output for the Core 510i processor. It creates a direct digital interface between Q-SYS and AES-3-equipped devices such as digital mixing consoles and recording systems, keeping audio in the digital domain end to end. The card is used wherever a Core 510i must exchange professional digital audio with external equipment without analog conversion.
Product Description
By providing both AES-3 inputs and outputs, the CAES4 lets the Core 510i send and receive digital audio to and from mixing consoles, recorders, and other digital gear, preserving signal integrity by avoiding extra analog stages. It installs in any Type-II slot and combines with input, output, and network cards in the same chassis, so a single Core 510i can serve analog, digital, and networked sources together.
