Product Overview

The Meyer Sound LINA compact linear line array loudspeaker delivers high-power, full-range reinforcement for venues that demand a low-profile curvilinear array with reference-grade fidelity. As a self-powered line array loudspeaker, LINA combines exceptional high-frequency headroom, phase coherence, and consistent coverage in a lightweight enclosure. It is well suited to small theaters, houses of worship, theme parks, and permanent AV installations where a compact line array system must reproduce speech and music with high intelligibility. LINA also serves as a supplemental fill loudspeaker within larger LEOPARD line array systems.

Product Description

Meyer Sound LINA compact linear line array loudspeaker

LINA evolved from the MINA loudspeaker and applies the technology developed for the award-winning LEO family, delivering the signature advantages of self-powered design, linear response, and precise directional control. Each cabinet houses two 6.5-inch long-excursion cone drivers and a 3-inch diaphragm compression driver coupled to a constant-directivity horn through a patented REM manifold. An efficient Class D amplifier provides 1950 W peak total output power, reproducing program material from speech and classical music to rock and EDM with low distortion. LINA offers Native Mode for excellent out-of-the-box performance with minimal external processing, and integrates with Meyer Sound's Galileo GALAXY Network Platform for matrix routing, alignment, and array processing. For low-frequency extension, LINA flies directly with the Meyer Sound 750-LFC without transition hardware, while applications needing more headroom can pair it with the 900-LFC. QuickFly rigging with captive GuideALinks supports splay angles up to 11 degrees. Compare LINA with the larger Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array loudspeaker and the flagship Meyer Sound PANTHER active line array loudspeaker, or pair it with the Meyer Sound 750-LFC powered subwoofer for full-range output.

Key Features

  • Self-Powered Design — Onboard amplification and processing simplify system setup and increase reliability by eliminating external amplifier racks.
  • Class D Amplifier — An efficient Class D amplifier delivers 1950 W peak total output power with linear response across a wide dynamic range.
  • Three-Way Transducer Complement — Two 6.5-inch long-excursion cone drivers and a 3-inch compression driver on a constant-directivity horn provide full-range reproduction with high intelligibility.
  • Consistent 100-Degree Horizontal Coverage — A constant-directivity horn maintains uniform horizontal pattern control across the operating bandwidth.
  • QuickFly Rigging — Captive GuideALinks set splay angles up to 11 degrees for fast, repeatable array assembly.
  • Native Mode Operation — Optimized factory configuration yields excellent system performance out of the box with minimal external processing.
  • LFC and LEOPARD Integration — LINA flies directly with the 750-LFC and 900-LFC low-frequency control elements and integrates with LEOPARD systems as fill.
  • Lightweight Birch Enclosure — A 43 lb premium multi-ply birch cabinet delivers a high power-to-size ratio for portable and installed applications.

Typical Applications

  • House of Worship — LINA arrays provide intelligible, even coverage of congregations across the full audible band for spoken word and music.
  • Auditorium — The compact line array delivers high-power reinforcement with consistent coverage in small to mid-size theaters and performance halls.
  • Multi-Purpose Room — Self-powered operation and lightweight rigging make LINA practical for flexible spaces hosting varied program material.
  • Broadcast Studio — Low distortion and phase coherence support reference-grade monitoring and reinforcement in production environments.

Competitor Comparison

Criterion Meyer Sound LINA L-Acoustics Kara II d&b audiotechnik T-Series
Amplification LINA is self-powered with onboard Class D amplification and processing in every cabinet. Kara II is externally amplified and requires LA-series amplified controllers. The T-Series is externally amplified and driven by d&b amplifiers.
Low-Frequency Transducers LINA uses two 6.5-inch cone drivers in a compact format. Kara II uses two 8-inch low-frequency transducers for a larger format. The T-Series uses dual high-excursion drivers in a comparably compact module.
System Integration LINA flies directly with the 750-LFC and integrates with LEOPARD systems as fill. Kara II integrates within the L-Acoustics K-family and SB subwoofers. The T-Series integrates within the d&b loudspeaker and subwoofer ecosystem.
Processing Platform LINA is driven by the Galileo GALAXY Network Platform with Native Mode tuning. Kara II relies on L-Acoustics LA Network Manager and amplified controllers. The T-Series relies on d&b R1 and DS-series processing.
Weight per Cabinet LINA weighs 43 lb (19.5 kg) per cabinet. Kara II weighs more per cabinet due to its larger format and passive design. T-Series cabinets are similarly lightweight in a compact passive design.
Rigging LINA uses QuickFly rigging with captive GuideALinks for splay angles up to 11 degrees. Kara II uses L-Acoustics integrated rigging with selectable splay angles. The T-Series uses d&b integrated rigging hardware.
