Product Overview
The Meyer Sound 900-LFC is a compact self-powered low-frequency control element for scalable low-frequency reinforcement in touring and fixed installations. This configuration pairs the QuickFly rigging frame with factory weather protection, making it ready for flown, ground-stacked, and cardioid subwoofer arrays in outdoor and semi-exposed settings. A single 18-inch long-excursion driver and an onboard class D amplifier deliver high continuous output with extremely low distortion. It is a natural low-frequency complement for Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array systems.
Product Description

This weather-protected variant retains the integrated rigging frame, whose captive GuideALinks enable flying from the MG-LEOPARD/900 multipurpose grid in LEOPARD arrays without a transition frame. The same end frames support ground-stacked configurations with uptilt or downtilt and standalone subwoofer arrays at splay angles of 0, 1.25, 2.5, 3.75, or 5 degrees. A two-channel open-loop class D amplifier rated at 3100 W peak resides in a field-replaceable module, with RMS remote monitoring reporting operating parameters to a host computer. The integral pole-mount receptacle pairs the unit with ULTRA Series loudspeakers. For larger low-frequency formats consider the Meyer Sound VLFC arrayable subwoofer, and pair it with the Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array loudspeaker. Key Features
- Factory Weather Protection — Environmental treatment allows deployment in outdoor and semi-exposed applications.
- 18-inch LF Driver — A single dual-coil, long-excursion 18-inch cone driver with 2 ohm nominal impedance produces high-output, low-distortion low frequencies.
- Self-Powered Class D Amplifier — A two-channel, open-loop class D amplifier rated at 3100 W peak is housed in a field-replaceable module.
- QuickFly Rigging Frame — Captive GuideALinks allow direct flying from the MG-LEOPARD/900 grid and support ground-stacked and cardioid arrays.
- Variable Splay Angles — Subwoofer arrays can be configured at 0, 1.25, 2.5, 3.75, or 5 degrees.
- RMS Remote Monitoring — A two-conductor twisted-pair network reports all amplifier operating parameters to a host computer.
- Integral Pole Mount — A built-in pole-mount receptacle pairs the subwoofer with ULTRA Series loudspeakers.
Typical Applications
- House of Worship — Provides weather-resistant flown or ground-stacked low-frequency reinforcement for worship events.
- Auditorium — Extends low-frequency response for large theatrical and presentation systems.
