Product Overview
The Meyer Sound 900-LFC is a compact self-powered low-frequency control element for scalable low-frequency reinforcement in touring and fixed installations. This no-rig configuration omits the QuickFly rigging frame, making it ideal for ground-stacked and pole-mounted deployments at a lower cost and weight. A single 18-inch long-excursion driver and an onboard class D amplifier deliver high continuous output with extremely low distortion. It is a natural low-frequency complement for Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array systems.
Product Description

This variant ships without rigging, which lowers cabinet weight to 136 lb and suits ground-stacked subwoofer arrays and pole-mounted pairings. Inside, a two-channel open-loop class D amplifier rated at 3100 W peak resides in a single field-replaceable module containing the amplifier and control circuitry. The integral pole-mount receptacle pairs the unit with ULTRA Series loudspeakers, and RMS remote monitoring reports operating parameters to a Mac or Windows host computer. Units can later be transported in stacks using the optional MCF-900 caster frame, which accommodates cabinets with or without rigging. For flown applications, the rigging-equipped 900-LFC or the larger Meyer Sound VLFC arrayable subwoofer may be preferable, and the matching array system is the Meyer Sound LEOPARD line array loudspeaker. See the full Meyer Sound collection for processing and accessories.
Key Features
- 18-inch LF Driver — A single dual-coil, long-excursion 18-inch cone driver with 2 ohm nominal impedance produces high-output, low-distortion low frequencies.
- Self-Powered Class D Amplifier — A two-channel, open-loop class D amplifier rated at 3100 W peak is housed in a field-replaceable module.
- No-Rig Configuration — Without the rigging frame the cabinet weighs 136 lb and suits ground-stacked and pole-mounted deployments.
- Low Distortion — THD, IM, and TIM measure below 0.02 percent for exceptional linearity and transient reproduction.
- RMS Remote Monitoring — A two-conductor twisted-pair network reports all amplifier operating parameters to a host computer.
- Integral Pole Mount — A built-in pole-mount receptacle pairs the subwoofer with ULTRA Series loudspeakers.
- Caster Frame Ready — Compatible with the optional MCF-900 caster frame for transport in stacks.
Typical Applications
- House of Worship — Provides ground-stacked low-frequency reinforcement for worship spaces.
- Auditorium — Extends low-frequency response for theatrical and presentation sound systems.
- Multi-Purpose Room — Supports flexible ground-stacked low end across varied events.
- Broadcast Studio — Delivers linear, low-distortion low frequencies for production audio.
