What is the Logitech Spot room sensor?
The Logitech Spot (950-000108) is a wall-mounted presence and environmental sensor that detects people in a meeting room or open space and reports indoor air quality. It uses mmWave radar for people detection, so rooms can book themselves when someone walks in and release themselves when nobody shows up. Spot also measures CO2, particulate matter, VOCs, temperature, humidity and pressure, giving facilities teams real occupancy and room-health data for every space it covers.
How does the Logitech Spot work?
Spot uses a radar presence sensor with a 120° horizontal and 100° vertical field of view and a range of up to 8 m. It is not a camera, so it suits phone booths, focus rooms and huddle spaces where video hardware would be out of place. It connects in one of two ways. It can pair over Bluetooth with a Logitech CollabOS device, such as the Logitech Tap Scheduler or a Rally Bar Mini. It can also connect over LoRaWAN through a supported gateway, so one gateway covers many sensors across a floor.
Paired with Tap Scheduler outside the door, Spot keeps room status honest. It can reserve an empty room when someone enters and release a booked room if no one arrives or the meeting ends early. That status feeds the digital floor plans in Microsoft Teams, Zoom and workplace platforms such as Appspace. Environmental readings and occupancy trends appear in Logitech Sync, where IT and facilities can see which spaces are overused, which sit empty, and which need better ventilation.
Installation is quick. Spot mounts with a peel-and-stick adhesive bracket or two screws, and it runs on a replaceable D-size lithium battery rated for up to four years in optimal conditions. Where continuous power is easy to reach, it runs from USB-C instead. Auto-book and release automations, Sync insights and the cloud APIs require a Logitech service plan.
What are the key features of the Logitech Spot?
- Radar presence detection — mmWave radar detects occupants up to 8 m away without a camera, which protects privacy in small rooms and booths.
- Auto-book and release — rooms are reserved when people walk in and released when nobody arrives, which cuts down on ghost meetings (Logitech service plan required).
- Indoor air quality monitoring — CO2, PM2.5, PM10, TVOC, temperature, humidity and pressure readings show facilities teams how each room is performing.
- Two connection options — Bluetooth pairing to CollabOS devices or LoRaWAN through a gateway lets you scale from one room to a whole floor.
- Battery or USB-C power — a replaceable D-size battery lasts up to four years, so no cable run is needed, and USB-C provides continuous power where it is available.
- Tool-free mounting — an adhesive bracket or two screws make wall installation fast during fit-outs and retrofits.
- Workplace certified — Spot is a RESET Grade B Air Accredited monitor and is listed in the Works with WELL directory.
- Managed in Logitech Sync — occupancy, room-health and energy insights sit in the same Sync console used for Logitech video conferencing rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Logitech Spot work with?
Spot pairs over Bluetooth with Logitech CollabOS devices such as Tap Scheduler, MeetUp 2 and the Rally Bar, or connects over LoRaWAN through a supported gateway. Room status integrates with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Logitech Sync and Appspace. Browse the full Logitech collection for compatible room systems.
Does Spot need a Logitech service plan?
Presence and environmental sensing work out of the box. Auto-book and release automations, the occupancy and room-health insights in Sync, and the cloud APIs need a Logitech service plan.
Is Spot a camera?
No. Spot detects presence with mmWave radar and captures no images, so it suits phone booths, focus rooms and other spaces where cameras are not wanted.
How is Spot installed?
Spot mounts on a wall with the included bracket, using the adhesive backing or two screws. Logitech recommends keeping it away from doors and air vents so that foot traffic and airflow do not skew presence or air-quality readings.
How long does the battery last?
Logitech rates the D-size lithium battery for up to four years in optimal conditions, and it can be replaced. For continuous power, connect a USB-C 5 V supply (the cable is not included).
Can Spot be used in rooms without video conferencing hardware?
Yes. Paired with a Tap Scheduler outside the door, Spot shows real-time availability for phone booths, huddle rooms and other spaces that have no video bar.
What warranty and support come with Spot?
Spot carries a 2-year limited hardware warranty from Logitech. Creation Networks can design, install and support Spot alongside your Logitech meeting rooms and room scheduling panels.
