Product Overview
The Listen Technologies ACEX01 is a 3 metre length of 50mm grey PVC protective extrusion, covering surface-run hearing loop cable. Not every loop can be concealed in floor build-up or ceiling void, and a loop conductor crossing a floor unprotected is both a trip hazard and a cable that will be damaged within weeks.
Product Description
Hearing loop conductors ideally run in floor build-up, ceiling void or perimeter trunking. Retrofit installations frequently offer none of those, particularly across a doorway or an open floor area.
Surface running is then the only option, and it introduces two problems: the cable is a trip hazard, and foot traffic will damage it. Protective extrusion addresses both, presenting a ramped profile that can be walked over and shielding the conductor beneath.
Order by the 3 metre length against the exposed run. Where the loop transitions between buried and surface sections, protect the transition point as well as the run itself. Pair with 14 AWG hearing loop cable and crimp lugs for the rest of the loop build.
