Product Overview

The Listen Technologies C14-2N is a networked C-Series multiloop hearing loop driver rated at 14 A RMS / 48 V RMS, the most potent driver in the C-Series. Its high output voltage drives more current, making it suited to areas of high metal loss and large-venue installations where the driver sits far from the loop. As a 1U rack-mount loop driver with a 100 V line input, it is designed for permanent commercial assistive-listening loop systems. (For an otherwise identical unit with a Dante audio input, see the C14-2D (Dante version).)

Product Description

The C14-2N combines high output with precise control for demanding induction-loop installations. A simple digital interface allows accurate adjustment, and the unit operates as a networked or stand-alone device. Networking adds a browser interface for remote reporting, adjustment, active status monitoring, and fault reporting via email or Telnet, helping integrators manage loops across multiple rooms or sites. Dual outputs deliver an accurate, stable 90° phase shift for multiloop array designs, while built-in test tones and clear diagnostics speed commissioning. The driver is optimized for speech intelligibility while remaining capable of high-quality musical reproduction, and its data output is compliant with the IEC 62489-1 standard. A compact 1U rack-mount chassis with an internal power supply and industry-standard Phoenix connectors make it straightforward to integrate into a commercial AV rack.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the C14-2N different from the C14-2D?
Both share the same 14 A RMS / 48 V RMS output and feature set. The C14-2N uses a 100 V line input, while the C14-2D adds a Dante audio input for networked audio routing.

When is the C14-2 output level needed?
For areas of high metal loss and large venues, or where the driver must sit far from the loop and needs extra current to maintain field strength.

Can the driver be monitored remotely?
Yes. When networked, a browser interface provides remote reporting, adjustment, status monitoring, and fault reporting via email or Telnet.

Does it meet hearing-loop standards?
Its data is compliant with IEC 62489-1, the international performance standard for induction-loop systems.

Is it a multiloop driver?
Yes. Dual outputs with an accurate 90° phase shift support phased-array loop designs that reduce spill.
