It reaches up to 130m (430ft) at 1080p using Kramer BC-HDKat6a cable, making it a practical HDMI over twisted pair extender for presentation and multimedia systems where two sources feed a distant display or projector.
How does the Kramer TP-582T work?
Two HDMI sources connect to the TP-582T, and the active input is selected with the front-panel button, an IR remote or a momentary remote contact closure on the terminal block. The unit converts the selected HDMI signal, along with Ethernet, RS-232 and IR, into an HDBaseT signal on one RJ-45 output. At the far end, a compatible receiver such as the Kramer TP-582R twisted pair receiver restores the signals for the display.
The TP-582T supports up to 2.25Gbps per graphic channel and 1080p@60Hz at 36-bit deep color. Because Ethernet, RS-232 and IR all travel on the same cable, the projector or display at the far end can be networked and controlled without pulling extra cable.
