Product Overview
The Kramer TP-580T is a long-reach HDBaseT transmitter for 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) HDMI, bidirectional RS-232, and IR signals, extending an HDMI source to a compatible HDBaseT receiver over standard Cat cable at up to 40m for 4K or 70m for 1080p. AV integrators deploy the TP-580T in conference rooms, boardrooms, and classrooms where a source device at a presenter position or equipment rack needs to reach a display over a single Cat6/7 cable — eliminating the need for long HDMI cable runs or active HDMI extenders. It is HDBaseT-certified and compatible with any market-available HDBaseT receiver, not just Kramer models. Compact DigiTOOLS form factor allows three units to rack-mount side-by-side in 1U with the optional adapter.

The TP-580T pairs with the Kramer TP-580R receiver. It is also compatible with any other HDBaseT-certified receiver. For extended range, the TP-580TXR transmitter pairs with the TP-580RXR receiver, supporting up to 100m at 4K.
What Cat cable is recommended?
Kramer recommends BC-HDKat6a or BC-UniKat cables for optimum range and performance. Standard CAT6 cable may not achieve the specified maximum distances.
Does the TP-580T include PoE?
The TP-580T does not provide PoE to power a remote receiver. Each unit requires its own power supply. For PoE-capable HDBaseT transmitters, see the Kramer TP-780T or TP-789R series.
