A presenter connects a laptop with one USB-C cable and the transmitter sends everything to a compatible receiver at the display or rack. How does the Kramer EXT3-C-XR-T work?
The EXT3-C-XR-T converts all of its input signals into a single HDBaseT 3.0 stream over copper CAT cable. Uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video with HDCP 2.3 is passed to the far end, along with multichannel audio and EDID handled by Kramer I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID processing.
USB 2.0 is extended between both ends, so the connected laptop can use a USB camera, speakerphone or HID device at the receiver side, the basic requirement for a BYOD hybrid meeting room. Ethernet, bidirectional RS-232 and IR are carried on the same cable for network access and device control.
The transmitter supplies up to 60W of USB-C charging from its 20V DC power adapter, and a display on/off control lets the presenter power the room display. LED indicators simplify local maintenance and troubleshooting.
