The Kramer TP-590T is a long-reach HDBaseT 2.0 transmitter for 4K60 4:2:0 HDMI, USB, RS-232 and IR signals over twisted pair. It converts all of its inputs into one HDBaseT 2.0 signal and extends video up to 40m (130ft) at 4K and up to 70m (230ft) at 1080p. As an HDMI and USB extender transmitter, it lets a presenter's laptop at the table use a display and USB peripherals at the far end of a hybrid meeting room.
How does the Kramer TP-590T work?
An HDMI source and a USB host connect to the TP-590T, which sends video, USB 2.0, RS-232 and IR to a compatible receiver over a single CAT cable. HDMI is carried at up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 24bpp with 10.2Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.3, with EDID and CEC passed from source to display and Kramer I-EDIDPro handling EDID for plug-and-play operation. Up to 32 channels of uncompressed audio travel with the video.
USB 2.0 extension is flexible: the active USB host can be at either the transmitter or receiver end. The TP-590T has one USB-B host port and three USB-A device ports, with up to 2A total device charging current. Bidirectional RS-232 and IR extension carry control data both ways. Status LEDs for HDMI, HDBaseT and the active USB host port simplify troubleshooting, and the compact fan-less DemiTOOLS enclosure is suitable for dropped-ceiling mounting.
