Product Overview

The K-Array Pinnacle KR802 II is a powered stereo column line array system engineered for auditoriums, houses of worship, and large multi-purpose rooms that need high output with discreet, architectural form. The system pairs four Kayman-KY102 stainless steel column line array elements with one self-powered Thunder-KS4 I and one passive Thunder-KS4P I dual 18-inch subwoofer, delivering full-range sound reinforcement from a single integrated package. With onboard DSP, amplification, and remote control built into the KS4 I subwoofer, this self-powered line array system installs without an external amplifier rack. Mounting hardware is included, making it a complete commercial audio system for permanent installation or staged deployment.

Product Description

Each Kayman-KY102 column houses eight 4-inch neodymium magnet drivers in a slim stainless steel enclosure just 4.6 inches wide and 39.4 inches tall, built with K-array's Pure Array Technology for controlled vertical dispersion and long-throw intelligibility. Two KY102 columns per side form a tall, visually unobtrusive array that projects clear mid-high energy deep into a room while keeping sightlines clean. Low end comes from a pair of Thunder dual 18-inch subwoofers: the self-powered KS4 I carries a 4-channel Class D amplifier rated 4 x 2500 W at 4 ohms, driving both the passive KS4P I subwoofer and all four columns.

System tuning, EQ, delay, gain, and limiting are handled by the onboard DSP and accessed remotely through the K-array Connect mobile app over Wi-Fi, while K-Framework3 software supports networked system design and monitoring over wired Ethernet for larger AV system integration projects. The package includes four K-JOINT3 angle-adjustable joints and two K-FOOT3 bases, so integrators can ground-stack the columns directly on the subwoofers or configure freestanding arrays with precise aiming. The black finish suits stage-adjacent and low-visibility installations; a white version (KR802W II) is available for light interiors. Frequently Asked Questions

Does the KR802 II need an external amplifier?

No. The Thunder-KS4 I subwoofer is self-powered with a 4-channel Class D amplifier (4 x 2500 W at 4 ohms) that drives the passive KS4P I subwoofer and all four KY102 columns, so no separate amplifier rack is required.

What is the difference between the KR802 II and the KR802P II?

The KR802 II is the powered version with one active KS4 I subwoofer providing onboard amplification and DSP. The KR802P II is fully passive, using two KS4P I subwoofers driven by an included Kommander-KA104 rack amplifier — better suited when amplification must live in an equipment room.

How is the system controlled and integrated into an AV system?

DSP parameters are accessible over Wi-Fi through the K-array Connect mobile app, and K-Framework3 software manages networked units over wired Ethernet, supporting integration into professionally managed commercial AV installations.

Can the columns be flown or wall-mounted instead of ground-stacked?

Yes. The included K-JOINT3 joints and K-FOOT3 bases support ground-stack and freestanding setups, and K-array offers optional accessories such as the K-FLY3 fly bar and K-WALL2 wall mount for suspended or wall-mounted configurations.

Is the system suitable for outdoor or semi-outdoor installation?

The KY102 columns are IP64-rated stainless steel and the subwoofer cabinets carry IP53/IP54 ratings, making the system suitable for covered outdoor and demanding indoor environments; K-array recommends additional protection accessories for fully exposed permanent installs.

What warranty applies to this system?

K-array products are covered by the manufacturer's 5-year warranty policy. Creation Networks supports commercial buyers through quoting, system design assistance, and post-sale support.
