Product Overview
The K-Array Pinnacle KR202 II is a powered stereo column line array system built for commercial AV installation in houses of worship, auditoriums, and corporate meeting spaces that need full-range sound from hardware that stays visually discreet. The system pairs one self-powered Thunder KS2 I subwoofer with DSP, one passive Thunder KS2P I subwoofer, and four Kobra KK102 I stainless steel line array columns, with K-JOINT3 and K-FOOT3 mounting hardware included. Because amplification and processing live inside the KS2 I subwoofer, this portable line array PA system deploys as a complete left-right stereo rig without an external amplifier rack. Integrators get app-based remote control, network management, and a 5-year manufacturer warranty in a single SKU.
Product Description
Each side of the KR202 II stack consists of a Thunder subwoofer topped by two Kobra KK102 I columns joined with K-JOINT3 hardware and seated on a K-FOOT3 adapter. The self-powered Thunder KS2 I houses an 18-inch neodymium magnet woofer and a Class D amplifier module rated at 4x 1500 W at 4 ohms with built-in DSP, extending bass response down to 35 Hz while driving the passive KS2P I and all four columns. The polyurea-coated birch plywood enclosures measure 650 x 500 x 580 mm and weigh 34 kg each, so a two-person crew can move the entire system between rooms or venues.

The Kobra KK102 I columns each carry sixteen 2-inch neodymium drivers in a one-meter stainless steel chassis only 59 mm wide, delivering 120-degree horizontal coverage with switchable wide or narrow vertical dispersion. DSP control runs through the K-array Connect mobile app for day-to-day operation, while K-Framework3 software manages multiple units over a wired LAN for larger AV system integration projects. The onboard processing includes channel grouping, a 3-band parametric input EQ, an 8-band parametric output EQ with selectable filter types, dynamic limiters, freely assignable signal routing, and up to 230 ms of channel delay. K-array publishes control plugins for Q-SYS, Crestron, Crestron Home, Control4, and Dante, which keeps this system practical for integrators standardizing on those platforms. For fixed installation, this same speaker package is available as the passive Pinnacle KR202P II with a Kommander KA104 rack amplifier, and this powered configuration also comes in a white finish (KR202W II).
Key Features
- Self-Powered DSP Subwoofer Core — The Thunder KS2 I integrates a 4x 1500 W at 4 ohm Class D amplifier with onboard DSP, so the entire stereo system runs without an external amplifier rack.
- True Line Array Columns — Four Kobra KK102 I elements use sixteen closely spaced 2-inch drivers each to deliver phase-coherent output with low distortion in both the near field and at distance.
- Switchable Vertical Coverage — Each KK102 I column can be set to wide or narrow vertical dispersion, letting installers keep energy off ceilings and floors in reverberant rooms.
- Extended Low-Frequency Response — The 18-inch neodymium subwoofers reach down to 35 Hz, covering full-range music program as well as speech reinforcement.
- App and Network Control — The K-array Connect mobile app handles remote DSP adjustment, while K-Framework3 manages multiple units over a wired LAN for larger deployments.
- Control System Plugins — Published plugins for Q-SYS, Crestron, Crestron Home, Control4, and Dante simplify AV system integration in commercial environments.
- Complete Mounting Package — Four K-JOINT3 connectors and two K-FOOT3 adapters are included, so each column pair stacks directly on its subwoofer out of the box.
- Portable, Durable Construction — Polyurea-coated birch plywood subwoofer cabinets and stainless steel column chassis stand up to repeated transport and daily commercial use.
- 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty — K-array backs the system with a published 5-year product warranty for installed and portable use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the KR202 II need an external amplifier?
No. The self-powered Thunder KS2 I subwoofer contains the system amplification and DSP, driving the passive KS2P I subwoofer and all four Kobra KK102 I columns. If you prefer a rack amplifier topology for fixed installation, choose the passive KR202P II, which includes the Kommander KA104.
How is the system controlled?
Day-to-day control runs through the K-array Connect mobile app. For multi-unit installations, K-Framework3 software manages and tunes units over a wired LAN, and K-array publishes plugins for Q-SYS, Crestron, Crestron Home, Control4, and Dante.
What is included in the box?
One Thunder KS2 I self-powered subwoofer, one Thunder KS2P I passive subwoofer, four Kobra KK102 I line array columns, four K-JOINT3 connectors, and two K-FOOT3 adapters for stacking the columns on the subwoofers.
Is this system suitable for permanent installation as well as portable use?
Yes. The included K-FOOT3 adapters support ground-stacked or pole-mounted deployment, and K-array offers accessories such as the K-FLY3 fly bar and K-WALL2 wall mount for suspended and fixed installations.
What warranty applies?
K-array provides a published 5-year product warranty. Creation Networks supports system design, configuration questions, and order support for commercial AV integrators and end users.
