The Control 50S/T is engineered as the bass foundation of a subwoofer-satellite loudspeaker system. Its high-power, long-excursion 200 mm (8 in) driver uses a high-mass polypropylene cone, butyl rubber half-roll surround, a 38 mm (1.5 in) 4-layer copper-clad voice coil, and a vented aluminum former for extended low-frequency output, quick transient response, and low distortion. As a 70V/100V subwoofer, it provides selectable transformer taps (80 W, 40 W, 20 W, and 10 W at 70V) plus an 8-ohm bypass/thru mode, and it handles 150 W continuous pink noise (300 W program, 600 W peak) across a 32 Hz–200 Hz range. Six removable locking 2-pin connectors with screw-down terminals simplify wiring and let the subwoofer feed and daisy-chain its satellites, supporting either two or four per system. The structural plywood cabinet reaches a rated maximum SPL of 115 dB (121 dB peak) near a corner, and an included two-piece easy-mount wall bracket with a self-guiding drop-in design speeds installation. It pairs naturally with the JBL Control 52 satellite loudspeaker to complete a full-range system. This black Control 50S/T is also available in white.
