Product Overview
SMK 4 (For TLP Pro 535M, White), part number 70-1331-13. The Extron SMK 35 Series surface mount kits secure a TLP Pro 535M, 835M, or 1035M touchpanel to a wall or other flat surface, including glass, where cutting into the substrate is not an option. Pre-adhered adhesive simplifies installation and a glass-adhered overlay gives a clean, inconspicuous appearance from inside the room. The design keeps the panel's side LED indication visible after mounting. Knockouts provide discreet Ethernet pass-through, and a flat Ethernet cable is included in the kit.
Product Description
Glass partitions, tile, stone, and finished millwork all present the same problem: the control panel has to go somewhere, and cutting a back box into the surface is either impossible or unacceptably destructive. Surface mounting is the answer, but a generic surface box looks like an afterthought on a glass wall.
The SMK 35 Series is designed around that constraint. The low-profile housing maintains the panel's own proportions from outside the room, and the included glass-adhered overlay conceals the mounting from the inside, so a glass-walled conference room does not end up with visible hardware on the interior face.
Installation is adhesive-based with the adhesive pre-applied to the kit, which removes a messy field step and improves consistency across a large rollout. Cable management is handled by knockouts for discreet Ethernet pass-through, and the kit includes a flat Ethernet cable measuring 10.0 feet by 0.29 inches by 0.10 inches (3.1 m x 7.4 mm x 2.6 mm) that runs under trim or along a glass edge without a visible bulge.
Six part numbers cover three panel sizes in two finishes. SMK 4 fits the TLP Pro 535M, SMK 5 fits the TLP Pro 835M, and SMK 6 fits the TLP Pro 1035M, each in black or white. Match the finish to the panel and the surrounding surface. Where the panel needs an angled presentation instead of flush surface mounting, specify the Extron AMK 35 Series.
