Product Description

The Extron IPCP Pro 360Q xi control processor is a quad-core IP Link Pro control processor engineered for centralized AV control in larger commercial systems that demand an isolated AV network and integrated device power. As the industry's first control processor with built-in AV LAN ports and PoE+, the IPCP Pro 360Q xi pairs three dedicated AV LAN ports with one standard LAN port, and a quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of Flash, four times the memory of prior multi-network IP Link Pro models, for faster project uploads and sophisticated control programs.

This quad-core control processor with PoE+ can power external devices directly: two of the three AV LAN ports deliver switched PoE+ at up to 30 watts per port, supplying both power and communication to supported TouchLink Pro touchpanels and interfaces without separate power supplies. The three AV LAN ports form an integrated unmanaged switch that isolates AV devices from the corporate network, while a built-in AV LAN DHCP server automatically assigns IP addresses to connected devices and the LAN-to-AV-LAN path still allows discovery, management, and firmware updates of Extron devices.

A comprehensive control interface set, three serial ports, two IR/serial ports, four digital I/O ports, four relays, and an eBUS port, lets a single unit manage displays, projectors, switchers, lighting, screens, and shades. Deployment uses Global Configurator Plus, Global Configurator Professional, or Extron ControlScript and Global Scripter, with GlobalViewer Enterprise for centralized AV resource monitoring across the enterprise. If your deployment does not require PoE+ or multiple AV LAN ports, compare the single-AV-LAN IPCP Pro 255Q xi or the single-core models in our Extron control processor collection.

Key Features

  • Quad-Core Processor with Expanded Memory — A quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of Flash, four times the memory of prior multi-network models, increases project upload speed and runtime performance for sophisticated control programs.
  • Three AV LAN Ports for Network Isolation — Three dedicated AV LAN ports on an integrated unmanaged switch isolate connected AV devices from the corporate network, protecting them from outside intrusion or interference.
  • Switched PoE+ Power Output — Two AV LAN ports provide switched PoE+ at up to 30 watts per port, supplying power and communication to supported touchpanels and interfaces without separate power supplies.
  • Built-In AV LAN DHCP Server — The AV LAN DHCP server automatically distributes IP addresses and network parameters to connected AV devices, streamlining system setup and management.
  • Comprehensive Control I/O — Three serial ports, two IR/serial ports, four configurable digital I/O ports, four relays, and an eBUS port allow one unit to control displays, projectors, lighting, screens, and shades.
  • Broad Endpoint Compatibility — The processor supports Extron TouchLink Pro touchpanels, Network Button Panels, eBUS button panels, and IPL EXP expansion interfaces for flexible user-interface design.
  • LinkLicense Support — The IPCP Pro 360Q xi supports Extron LinkLicense to add convenience features and expand system functionality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does PoE+ on the IPCP Pro 360Q xi do?

Two of the three AV LAN ports provide switched PoE+ at up to 30 watts per port, delivering both power and communication to supported devices such as TouchLink Pro touchpanels and interfaces. This eliminates the need for separate local power supplies at those endpoints.

How do the three AV LAN ports work?

The three AV LAN ports form an integrated unmanaged switch that isolates connected AV devices from the corporate network, protecting them from outside intrusion or interference. A built-in DHCP server automatically assigns IP addresses, and the LAN-to-AV-LAN path still permits discovery, management, and firmware updates of Extron devices.

How is the IPCP Pro 360Q xi configured and programmed?

The processor can be configured with Global Configurator Plus or Global Configurator Professional, or programmed with Extron ControlScript and Global Scripter. GlobalViewer Enterprise provides centralized AV resource monitoring and management across a network.

How does the 360Q xi differ from the IPCP Pro 255Q xi?

Both are quad-core processors, but the 360Q xi adds two more AV LAN ports (three total), switched PoE+ power output, and an internal power supply in a half-rack enclosure. The IPCP Pro 255Q xi provides a single AV LAN port without PoE+ in a quarter-rack enclosure.

Is the IPCP Pro 360Q xi rack-mountable?

Yes. The 1U-high, half-rack-width metal enclosure mounts in an equipment rack with an optional 1U rack shelf or under furniture with an optional bracket kit.

What warranty and support are included?

The IPCP Pro 360Q xi carries a 3-year parts and labor warranty, and the internal Extron Everlast power supply is backed by a 7-year parts and labor warranty. Creation Networks provides commercial AV product support to assist with selection and integration.
