Product Description
The Extron IPCP Pro 255Q xi control processor is a compact, quad-core IP Link Pro control processor built for centralized AV control in commercial spaces that require an isolated, secure AV network. This LL UI Upgrade configuration ships with Extron LinkLicense to extend the user-interface capabilities of your Extron Pro Series control system. A quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of Flash, four times the memory of prior multi-network IP Link Pro processors, delivers faster project uploads, quicker runtime performance, and headroom for more sophisticated control programs.
What sets this quad-core control processor apart is its dual Gigabit Ethernet design: one LAN port for the corporate network and a dedicated AV LAN port that isolates connected AV devices from outside intrusion or interference. The AV LAN includes a built-in DHCP server that automatically distributes IP addresses and network parameters to local AV devices, streamlining system setup. The LAN-to-AV-LAN path still permits discovery, management, and firmware updates for Extron devices using PCS, DSP, and XTP Configurator, while restricting other Ethernet traffic.
A full set of control interfaces, two serial ports, an IR/serial port, four digital I/O ports, two relays, an eBUS port, and a remote volume control port, lets a single unit manage displays, projectors, switchers, lighting, screens, and audio amplifiers. Deployment uses Global Configurator Plus, Global Configurator Professional, or Extron ControlScript and Global Scripter, with GlobalViewer Enterprise for centralized AV resource monitoring across the enterprise. If your deployment does not require a dedicated AV LAN, compare the single-core, single-port IPCP Pro 250 xi in our Extron control processor collection.

Key Features
- Quad-Core Processor with Expanded Memory — A quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of Flash, four times the memory of prior multi-network models, increases project upload speed and runtime performance for sophisticated control programs.
- Dual Gigabit Ethernet with Isolated AV LAN — Two 10/100/1000Base-T ports separate the corporate LAN from a dedicated AV LAN, securing connected AV devices from outside intrusion or interference.
- Built-In AV LAN DHCP Server — The AV LAN DHCP server automatically distributes IP addresses and network configuration parameters to connected AV devices, streamlining system setup and management.
- Broad Endpoint Compatibility — The processor supports Extron TouchLink Pro touchpanels, Network Button Panels, eBUS button panels, and IPL EXP expansion interfaces for flexible user-interface design.
- Comprehensive Control I/O — Two serial ports, one IR/serial port, four configurable digital I/O ports, two relays, and a remote volume control port allow one unit to control displays, projectors, lighting, screens, and select Extron amplifiers.
- LinkLicense UI Upgrade Included — This configuration includes Extron LinkLicense to expand the user-interface capabilities of the Pro Series control system.
- Secure Industry-Standard Protocols — Support for HTTPS, SSH, SFTP, SMTP, NTP, and IEEE 802.1X authentication meets the network security requirements of enterprise and education environments.
- Building Management System Integration — The processor supports BACnet, KNX, and DALI for centralized monitoring and control of HVAC, lighting, power, and security systems.
- Central Deployment Architecture — As the primary control processor, the unit automatically distributes system files, configurations, and programs to touchpanels, secondary processors, and button panels as they come online.
- Compact Quarter-Rack Enclosure — A 1U-high, quarter-rack-width metal enclosure with convection cooling installs in racks with an optional shelf or under furniture with an optional bracket kit.
- Extron Everlast Power Supply — The included external Everlast power supply provides worldwide power compatibility and is backed by a 7-year parts and labor warranty.
