The Crestron SAROS IC6T-W-T-EACH is a 6.5 in. 2-way in-ceiling speaker built for background music, paging, and sound reinforcement in commercial spaces. This Crestron Saros in-ceiling speaker pairs a 6.5 in. woofer with a horn-loaded titanium dome tweeter and a built-in 60W 70/100V multi-tap transformer for distributed audio systems. Its zero-bezel magnetic grille gives a clean, contemporary ceiling appearance in offices, retail, and hospitality interiors. The speaker is priced individually but must be ordered in multiples of two.

Product Description

The IC6T combines a 6.5 in. polypropylene woofer with a damped cloth surround and a wide-dispersion, horn-loaded 0.98 in. titanium dome tweeter, crossed over at 2.5 kHz for smooth, even coverage with a 100-degree nominal pattern. A built-in multi-tap transformer offers taps of 3.75W through 60W at 70V and 7.5W through 60W at 100V, plus an 8 Ohm bypass, and is set with a screwdriver-adjustable rotary switch on the front baffle. Power handling is 125 Watts program at 8 Ohms with a 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response.

An integral plenum-rated metal back can meets UL 2043 for installation in environmental air-handling spaces, with top and side knockouts for 1/2 in. or 3/4 in. conduit. Two-step toggle clamps accommodate surfaces up to 2.4 in. (61 mm) thick, and an included tile bridge supports drop-tile installs. The zero-bezel frameless grille is magnetically held with an included safety tether and is paintable to match the ceiling. To extend low-frequency output in the same room, pair it with the Crestron Saros PDS8T pendant subwoofer.
