The Crestron SAROS PDS8T-B-T-EACH is an 8 in. pendant subwoofer that adds extended low-frequency output to open-ceiling commercial audio systems. This Crestron Saros pendant subwoofer is built for 70V and 100V distributed speaker systems and is designed to complement Saros 2-way pendant speakers in spaces with exposed structure. Product Description
The PDS8T pairs an 8 in. polypropylene woofer with a steel basket and phase plug to reproduce the low end that full-range pendant speakers cannot fully cover. A built-in multi-tap transformer supports 60W or 120W at 70V and 120W at 100V, plus an 8 Ohm bypass setting selected with a recessed screwdriver-adjustable rotary switch on the baffle. An onboard 125 Hz second-order low-pass filter limits the subwoofer to bass frequencies, with a frequency response of 45 Hz to 125 Hz (plus or minus 3 dB).
Designed for open-ceiling environments, the subwoofer is well suited to retail, hospitality, and back-of-house spaces where ductwork and structure are exposed. A 4-pin detachable terminal block with screw-down flanges and a weather boot provides input with parallel pass-through for straightforward daisy-chained wiring across multiple units. The black textured finish blends with dark ceilings and exposed grids.
