Product Overview
The Crestron DM-NUX-L2-1G-B is the local, host-side module of the DM NUX USB over Network family, in a single-gang black wall plate. It extends and routes USB 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 signals between a host computer and remote devices over Ethernet or CAT5e cable for distances up to 330 ft (100 m). A USB Type B port connects to the host, while pairing with a DM-NUX-R2 remote endpoint completes a working link. Integration with a Crestron control system or DigitalMedia system enables managed USB signal routing.
Product Description
The DM-NUX-L2-1G-B provides connectivity for a single USB host such as a computer, media server, codec, or game console. It connects to a Crestron DM-NUX-R2 remote endpoint, either directly over a dedicated CAT5e or higher cable or across a Layer 2 Ethernet network, transporting USB at speeds up to 480 Mbps depending on network conditions. Using Virtual Hub technology, up to five DM-NUX-R2 endpoints can connect to a single DM-NUX-L2, allowing numerous USB devices to control one host. The endpoint requires no drivers with Windows, macOS, or Linux and is plug-and-play compatible with most USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices. Mass storage acceleration improves USB 2.0 bulk transfer speeds. When integrated with a DigitalMedia system, USB routing follows video and audio routing, and the endpoint can connect to the LAN port of a DM transmitter or receiver to add USB connectivity without extra wiring. The DM-NUX-L2 is USB powered through the host interface. To form a complete system, pair it with a Crestron DM-NUX-R2-1G-B remote module.
