The Cisco Wire Hanging Mounting Kit (CS-MIC-CLGP-WHK) suspends the Cisco Ceiling Microphone Pro on three wires below the ceiling. It is the mount to specify for open or exposed structure, and for high ceilings where the microphone needs to hang closer to the talkers than the slab allows. The kit ships with 3 m (9.8 ft) wires and fixes to the microphone's 100 x 100 VESA pattern. It is sold separately from the microphone and is finish-neutral, so the same part number is used with the Arctic White and Carbon Black units.

Product Description

Beamforming coverage is quoted from the microphone, not from the ceiling, so on an exposed deck or a high slab the panel has to come down to where the talkers are. That is the job this kit does. Three wires carry the unit below the structure at whatever height the room needs, which also keeps the microphone clear of ductwork, sprinkler lines and lighting runs that would otherwise sit in the way of a hard-mounted panel.

For estimating, the load is the microphone's own 2.54 kg (5.6 lb) and the fixing at the top is the installer's responsibility to detail against the actual structure. The wires arrive at 3 m (9.8 ft) and are cut down on site to the hanging height, so order to the ceiling height rather than to a finished drop. The single RJ45 run that feeds the microphone follows the suspension down to the unit and stays visible on an open ceiling, which is worth calling out at design review; where that run crosses a plenum, specify plenum-rated (CMP) cable.

Cisco offers three interchangeable mounts on the same VESA pattern, and the choice is made by ceiling type rather than by room size. This wire hanging kit covers open and high ceilings; the ceiling bracket (CS-MIC-CLGP-CBK) covers a solid ceiling where the panel sits flush; the drop ceiling grid kit (CS-MIC-CLGP-DMK) covers a standard suspended tile grid. No mount is included with the microphone, so one kit is ordered per microphone. Both microphone finishes and the room systems they run on sit in the full Cisco collection.
