The Cisco Ceiling Bracket Mounting Kit (CS-MIC-CLGP-CBK) fixes the Cisco Ceiling Microphone Pro to a solid ceiling. It is the mount to specify where there is no tile grid to drop into and the microphone should sit flush against the ceiling rather than hang below it. The bracket fixes to the microphone's 100 x 100 VESA pattern and carries the unit's 2.54 kg (5.6 lb) weight. It is sold separately from the microphone and is finish-neutral, so the same part number is used with the Arctic White and Carbon Black units.

Product Description

Hard-lid ceilings, plasterboard soffits and slabs with no accessible grid leave nothing for a tile-replacement mount to sit in, and hanging a panel on wires under a finished ceiling usually fails the design review. This bracket is the answer to that condition: the microphone fixes tight to the surface and reads as a shallow panel rather than a suspended object. Set the fixing positions out against the microphone's actual footprint and the seating plan before the ceiling is closed up, because moving a hard-mounted panel afterwards means opening the ceiling again.

For estimating, the load is the microphone's own 2.54 kg (5.6 lb) and the fixings into the ceiling substrate are the installer's responsibility to detail. The single RJ45 run that feeds the microphone has to arrive at the mounting position before the ceiling is finished, so coordinate the cable drop with the ceiling trade rather than chasing it afterwards; specify plenum-rated (CMP) cable where the run crosses a plenum. Because the bracket sits above the microphone against the ceiling, the finish visible from the room is the microphone's, not the bracket's.

Cisco offers three interchangeable mounts on the same VESA pattern, and the choice is made by ceiling type rather than by room size. This ceiling bracket covers a solid ceiling with the panel flush to the surface; the drop ceiling grid kit (CS-MIC-CLGP-DMK) covers a standard suspended tile grid; the wire hanging kit (CS-MIC-CLGP-WHK) covers open or exposed structure and high ceilings. No mount is included with the microphone, so one kit is ordered per microphone. The microphones themselves and the room systems that host them are in the Cisco collection.
