What is the Christie Pandoras Box Compact Player PK1?

The Christie Pandoras Box Compact Player PK1 (157-074102-01) is a half-rack, built-to-order media player from Christie Digital, configured with the PK1 Hardware Performance Kit and a 480GB SSD. It runs Pandoras Box playback on server-grade hardware with a professional NVIDIA Quadro GPU and four HDMI 2.0 outputs, and it is designed for 24/7 operation in digital signage, museums, exhibits, and cruise ship installations.

What is included?

  • Pandoras Box Compact Player with PK1 Hardware Performance Kit (480GB SSD)

  • Output licensing is configured to order (hardware only, or one to four outputs) through a Pandoras Box software license

How does the Christie Pandoras Box Compact Player PK1 work?

The Compact Player stores show content on its internal 480GB SSD and plays it out through four HDMI 2.0 outputs driven by an NVIDIA Quadro GPU. Content can be built on a timeline or run from the Playlist feature, which plays media files back to back without programming separate timeline containers. Each output supports EDID management, and Mosaic mode lets several outputs act as one large canvas.

Any number of Compact Players can be controlled and synchronized over the network from Pandoras Box Manager, so a multi-screen installation stays frame-locked and can be updated centrally. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports, RS-232, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth tie the player into show control and building systems, and JavaScript control plus an interactive web browser support live and interactive content. For touch and sensor-driven exhibits, pair it with Pandoras Box Widget Designer.

  • 4 video layers, 2 sequences, unlimited graphics layers for layered compositing.
