Product Overview
The Christie Pandoras Box PK2 Hardware Compact Player (157-075103-01) is a half-rack 1U media playback server delivering up to two channels of 4K video on server-grade hardware. A professional NVIDIA Quadro GPU drives four HDMI 2.0 outputs at up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4. The PK2 performance kit includes a 960GB SSD, supporting uncompressed HD60 playback. It is built-to-order and rated for 24/7 operation in fixed installations.
Product Description
The Compact Player condenses Pandoras Box playback into a small, dependable platform for permanent AV installations, and the PK2 configuration balances performance and budget with a 960GB SSD. Up to two independent 4K outputs can each be individually warped and blended, with mixed-resolution setups, EDID management on all outputs, and Mosaic mode — enough on-board processing to drive blended projection or non-standard display layouts without an external processor. The compositing engine offers four video layers, two image playback sequences, and unlimited graphics layers, plus an integrated interactive web browser and JavaScript control for dynamic content. The Playlist feature plays multiple media files in sequence without timeline programming, simplifying signage and exhibit workflows. Any number of Compact Players can be centrally controlled and synchronized over the network using Pandoras Box Manager software, and RS-232, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth round out integration options for show control systems.
