The Chief PG1A Projector Guard is a steel security enclosure designed to fully enclose a ceiling-mounted projector and its mount inside a locked cage, preventing theft and deterring deliberate physical damage in commercial, educational, and public-access environments. Compatible with Chief’s RPA and RPM projector mount series, the PG1A also attaches directly to 1-inch and 1.5-inch NPT diameter poles, making it suitable for RSM and RSA pole-mount applications as well. The enclosure is finished in black and is built to allow full roll, pitch, and yaw adjustment of the projector without removing the cage. It is a cost-effective physical security measure for any projector installation where unsupervised access is a concern.

Product Description

The Chief PG1A addresses a practical vulnerability in commercial AV: ceiling-mounted projectors are valuable equipment that can be physically accessed in spaces not continuously supervised. The PG1A is a fabricated steel cage that fully encloses both the projector and its mount, converting a standard overhead installation into a secured one.

The cage’s adjustable front opening accommodates different lens positions without compromising the structural integrity of the enclosure. The hinged door allows authorized personnel to access the projector for lamp replacement, cable management, or adjustment without removing the entire cage. Critically, the PG1A accommodates roll, pitch, and yaw adjustments while the cage is installed, so the projector can be realigned after initial installation without dismounting the security enclosure.
