It operates passively with DSP and includes a front-face 70V/100V tap selector for fast level setting during commercial AV installation. The white grille finish blends into most ceiling treatments.
Product Description
The DX-IC6LP-W pairs a 6.5" (165 mm) treated paper cone low-frequency driver with a 1.0" (25 mm) treated soft dome high-frequency driver on a genuine coaxial, acoustically aligned axis, with an integrated HF waveguide for consistent 145° conical coverage. Separate LF and HF magnets help keep distortion low across the 63 Hz to 20 kHz operating range. The shallow-depth design suits retrofit and new-construction ceilings alike, making it a practical low-profile in-ceiling loudspeaker for conference rooms, retail, hospitality, and transit spaces. Patent-pending SpringLock mounting clamps allow single-handed placement to reduce labor time, and the included tile rails and snap-on C-ring support the back can during install. The magnetic edgeless grille removes to reach the front-face wattage selector, which sets 70V or 100V transformer taps without tools. Conduit knock-outs on the input cover meet Chicago plenum air-space requirements, and the loudspeaker is rated for use in air-handling spaces. It is a natural match to other Desono DX models when standardizing a distributed 70V/100V ceiling speaker system.
