The Biamp EasyConnect USB 200 is a two-port USB switch for conference rooms that shares a camera, microphone, or speakerphone between two host computers. Product Description
The EasyConnect USB 200 addresses a recurring challenge in dual-use meeting rooms: one set of USB peripherals that must serve both a permanently installed room computer and visiting laptops. The switch provides two USB 3.0 Type-B connections for host computers and one USB 3.0 Type-A connection for the shared peripheral device. Configurable automatic priority switching hands the peripheral to a second computer when it connects, or the source can be selected manually through a third-party control system for AV system integration. A two-second power switch delay cuts power during the handoff to guarantee a stable, reliable re-enumeration of the connected device. The integrated USB extender supports USB 3.0 cable runs of up to 10 feet (3 m) and USB 2.0 runs of up to 17 feet (5 m) on each side of the switch, giving installers flexibility in table and device placement. A general purpose contact-closure input supports control-system triggering, and convection cooling keeps operation silent.
